Obituary of Arlene Marie Baker Arlene Marie Baker, 80, of Esville, our loving, caring, cheerful, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on January 12, 2019 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility. Arlene was born on January 11, 1939 in Esville, the daughter of the late Albert and Wilma (Mulders) Bouckaert. Arlene graduated from St. John’s High School, Class of 1957.

In April of 1960, Arlene met the love of her life, George Baker. They were united in marriage a few months later, on September 10, 1960; together they shared over 58 years of marriage, three wonderful children, and countless memories. Arlene worked as a bookkeeper for Dobson, was a lifelong parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church,) and a member of the women’s auxiliary.

Those who knew Arlene, know of her love of making pine cone wreaths, snowmobiling at Lakes of the North, traveling to Arizona, Florida, and Texas, and her favorite hobby was being “Giggles the Clown” for the Knights of Columbus. She will be missed dearly. Arlene leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, George; their three children, Linda Meyer, Clayton Baker, and David Baker; granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Meyer; siblings, Gerald (Pat) Bouckaert, Sue (Ken) Swincicki, and John (Camille) Bouckaert; brother-in-law, Donald (Corrine) Baker, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was welcomed home to heaven by her brothers, James (Joanne) Bouckaert and Donald (Jean) Bouckaert; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Ruth Baker; brothers-in-law, Clayton Baker and Robert Baker, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Anne Krause. Arlene’s family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp.

On Wednesday, January 16, 2019, Arlene will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine Rd. , Esville, where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of Arlene’s 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Fr.

Dale Orlik will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Mausoleum. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow in St. John’s Parish Hall. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bay County Medical Care Facility or the American Cancer Association.
