Arthur Clinton Mckinnon , January 03, 1939 — September 16, 2018

Arthur Clinton McKinnon, age 79, of Lindon, Utah, passed away peacefully in his home on September 16, 2018. Art was born in Randolph, Utah to Clinton Arthur McKinnon and Alice Mildred Carlisle on January 3, 1939. He was the youngest of three boys.

His family moved to Price when he was a young boy and he graduated from Carbon High. He completed one year of school at Carbon College before marrying his sweetheart, Linda Ann Workman on February 20, 1959 in Wellington, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 19, 1965.

They raised their family in LaPoint, Utah. Art loved the outdoors and grew up hunting and fishing in the mountains above his home. During his high school years, he rodeoed just for fun with his best friend, Ben Mead.

He loved to draw, paint, and make medal cut-outs of wildlife and old west cowboy life. He loved country music and enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them as a heavy equipment mechanic.

He was generous, caring and a man of his word. We all looked it up to him and will carry on his legacy. Art is survived by his wife, Linda; children Curt (Karla) McKinnon, Alphonso (Irene) Cornpeach, Dee (Joy) McKinnon, Reese McKinnon, Kristy (Jeff) Mabbutt, and Misty (Scott) Biggs; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Art is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clifford and Richard McKinnon, and a grandson. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindon 16th Ward, 610 W. 100 S., Lindon, Utah where friends and family may attend a visitation from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
