Bama Imogene Stevens Springhill, LA Funeral Services for Mrs. Bama Imogene Stevens, age 93, will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the Springhill United Methodist Church, Springhill, LA, with Dr. Charles Payne, and Rev. Dr. Jonathan King officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Springhill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stevens was born on September 28, 1925 to Tulley and Bama Dumas Barnard in Springhill, LA and passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Richardson, TX. She worked with Springhill Bank and Trust Co. and the International Paper Company as a secretary, scheduling for 1 and 2 paper machines.

She was a lifelong resident of Springhill, and a faithful member of Springhill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing piano and organ, singing in the church choir, and loved playing bridge with her friends. She is survived by her son, Brent Stevens of Dallas, TX; three nephews, Rickie Barnard and wife Marion of Taylor, AR, Greg Barnard and wife Lynda of Haughton, LA, Jeffery Barnard of Shongaloo, LA; three nieces, Rhonda Rolen of Shongaloo, LA, Gail Adams and husband Edmond of Springhill, LA, Lana Hilburn and husband Robert of Springhill, LA; as well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Arthur P. Stevens; parents; brothers, Levis Barnard, and E.T. “Small” Barnard; and niece, Diane Bennett. Pallbearers will be Rickie Barnard, Greg Barnard, Jeffery Barnard, Robert Hilburn, and Edmond Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Sam Holladay, and Mike Whitlow.
