Barbara J. (Baum) See, 80, of Hillsboro, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 5:05 a.m. at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab Center, Hillsboro, IL. Cremation rites were accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Burial will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL. Father Dan Willenborg, St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Mrs. See was born on August 28,1937, in Decatur, IL, to the late Wilbur and Mattie (White) Baum.

She was a graduate of Decatur High School, Decatur, IL and worked in the States Attorney’s Office of Montgomery County, Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. See lived in Decatur, IL and Hillsboro, IL. She married Gerald “Jerry” A. See on February 11, 1956 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur, IL and he preceded her on May 11, 2009.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Hillsboro, IL and of the Hillsboro Country Club, Hillsboro, IL. Mrs. See is survived by two children, Jackie (husband Danny) Meyer of Hillsboro, IL and Gerald (wife Cindy) A. See, Jr. of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Luke (wife Kim) Meyer of St. Charles, MO; Jessie (husband Jamie) Hatfield of St. Louis, MO; Brenna (husband Dan) Tripp of Manteno, IL; Connor (fiancee Kate) See of Wauconda, IL; and Shanna See of Chicago, IL; two great-grandchildren, Maddox Tripp and McKenna Meyer; and two sisters, Dora Sandage of Decatur, IL and Dottie Copsey of Decatur, IL. Mrs. See was also preceded in death by a brother, Dick Baum.

Memorial may be given to Montgomery County Cancer Association.
