Ronnie Joe Melow, 72, of Hillsboro, IL passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 6:48 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Jeff Hemken, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, Hillsboro, IL will officiate.

Burial will take place at Waveland Cemtery, Rural Hillsboro, IL. Mr. Melow was born on March 23, 1946 in Waco, TX to the late Harry and Margaret (Turnbaugh) Melow. He worked for Boilermaker, and was a truck driver.

He lived in St. Joseph, MO, Wood River, IL, Hillsboro, IL, and surrounding towns of Hillsboro. He married Reba Jane (Dale) Melow in Kansas City, MO, and they were together for over fifty years. She survives in Hillsboro, IL.

Mr. Melow was a member of Bootlegger Motorcycle Club, and Splinter Creek Motocross. He loved riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family. Mr. Melow is survived by his eight children; Margaret Ann Melow, Michael Melow, Ron Melow, Sonja Canchola, Sarah Collier, Stacey Melow Bell, Candy Melow, and Peter Felton; six grandchildren; and two sisters; Sherry Melow, and Sandy Vanzuela.

Mr. Melow was also preceded in death by three children; Logan Joe Melow, Bonnie Jo Melow, and Susan Diggs. Memorials may be given to the family.
