Becky Lynn Johnson September 24, 1956 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Becky Lynn Johnson, 62, of Savanna, died peacefully on February 23, 2019 at her home. The family will greet friends and visitors from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Friday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A family directed memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Missionary Baptist Church, 2200 West Hereford Lane, McAlester, officiated by Pastor Buel Lewallen.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Becky was born to Donald Ray and Gladys R. (Kerns) Gropp on September 24, 1956 in Holly, Colorado. She attended Holly Schools and married Gary Johnson in September of 1981 in Ponca City.

She and Gary owned and operated Kay Fire for a number of years where she was the business secretary. She later worked in nursing care. Becky enjoyed raising her children and loved her grandchildren.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and collecting recipes. Becky was an active member of the Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church clerk and children’s teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gary Johnson, father: Donald Gropp, and her mother: Gladys Triplett.

Becky is survived by her children: Tana Miller and husband, Allen of Quinton, Tobra Wixson of Moses Lake, Washington, Toni Johnson of Norman, Timothy Johnson of Norman, Traci Johnson of Oklahoma City, Tomi Mills and husband, Jeremy of Wardville; grandchildren: Brianna Miller, Bobby Miller, Fiona Wixson, Gunnar Wixson, Gabryell Odetayo, Kingston Johnson, Michael Mills; and one great-grandbaby on the way. Also brothers: Richard Gropp and wife, Maria of Falcon, Colorado, Randy Gropp of Kiowa; sister: Donna Nash and husband, Jim of Wichita, Kansas; stepfather: Richard Triplett of McAlester; stepsisters: Rene Alexander, Shirley Nunley; sister-in-law: Vickye Dougrey; aunt: Janet Sena and husband, Albert Sena; nieces and nephews: Candy, Casey, Morgan, Ashley, Phillip, Lori, and Shannon; and numerous other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Missionary Baptist Church, 2200 West Hereford Lane, McAlester, OK 74501.
