Donnie Jack Misener May 08, 1951 – February 12, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Donnie Jack Misener, 67, of Kiowa, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee. The family will greet friends and visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Bob Weaver Memorial Chapel at Kiowa Cemetery officiated by Rev.

Kenny Morrow. Military honors will be presented by the U.S. Navy Honors Team. Burial will follow in Kiowa Cemetery.

Donnie was born to Raymond and Elois (Mitchell) Misener on May 8, 1951 in Kiowa. He attended Kiowa schools and graduated from Kiowa High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1974 during the Viet Nam War and was honorably discharged.

He worked as a ranch foreman in California many years before returning to Kiowa. He then worked as a production worker at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. He married Frankie Johnson and she preceded him in death.

Donnie enjoyed camping and being outdoors. Donnie was preceded in death by his parents: Raymond and Elois Misener and his wife: Frankie Misener. Donnie is survived by his stepdaughter: Melodie Hinmon of Kiowa; four grandchildren; sister: Carolyn Batts and husband, Donald; brothers: Raymond Misener, Jr, Roger Misener, all of Kiowa; sister: Coleene Lewis and husband, George of Savanna; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
