Betty’s Obituary Betty Flanary of McAlester, Oklahoma died Monday, February 11, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 85. Betty was born on October 27, 1933 to Walter and Myrtle (Reed) Thrasher in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She was the last of ten children to depart from this earth.

Betty is survived by her two children, James Powell and Bonnie Mote of McAlester, Oklahoma; six granddaughters; four grandsons; six great-granddaughters; six great-grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Powell. Arrangements are pending at this time and are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home in McAlester, Oklahoma.
