Lou Anne Sims Parker July 31, 1945 – February 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lou Anne Sims Parker, 73, of McAlester, died Monday, February 11, 2019 at her home. A viewing will be held on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Bishop Funeral Service & Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lou Anne was born July 31, 1945 in Durant to Fred Arthur Bailey and Margie Lou (Wilson) Bailey Perkins. She graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1983 as a Registered Nurse. She worked many years as an RN at local nursing homes and at the McAlester Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her son: Butch Sims and Sandra Leflore of the home; grandchildren: Kinsly Anne Marie Sims of the home, Preston Wade Linney of McAlester, Jeff Pearson of Tulsa, Zach Medley of Edmond, and Sarah Medley of Edmond; sister: Betty Schaffer of Mustang; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Lou Anne is preceded in death by her father: Fred Bailey, mother: Margie Lou Perkins, brother: Bill Poole, sister: Lynn Anne Medley, and husbands: R.J. Sims and Lenton Parker.
