Graham – Bernise Jones Bateman, 77, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, She was born July 10, 1941 to the late Dwight Matthew and Ruby Barbee Jones and was the wife of the late Jimmy Wilson Bateman. Bernise was a member of West Burlington Church of God.

Bateman and Jimmy W. Bateman, Jr.; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; sisters, Bernie May and husband Sonny, Gloria Doby and husband Wayne, Brenda Riley and a brother, Richard L. Jones and wife Deborah.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Graham Memorial Park. You may sign the online register book at www.
