Mrs. Gwendolyn Gidney Harrelson age 89 of 402 Jerkins St. Burlington went from labor to reward on November 12, 2018, while being care for at White Oak Manor. Mrs. Harrelson was the daughter of the late Rev. Calvin L. Gidney and the late Mrs. Gertrude Parks Gidney.

She was the wife of the late Mr. Jaycee Jule Harrelson. Mrs. Harrelson will be forever cherished in the heart of her son, Jai C. Harrelson. She was a retired Educator of the Burlington City Schools System and Church Musician for First Baptist Church Apple St. Burlington for many years.

Gwendolyn was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and a Bennet College Graduate along with earning her Masters Degree in Education from Columbia University, NYC. Mrs. Harrelson was preceded in death by siblings, Miriam Marshall, Calvin L. Gidney Jr. and Charles Gidney.
