Betty’s Obituary Betty Belle Edwards, 89, of Stephens City, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 26, 2019. She spent the last three years of her life living at Evergreen Health and Rehab, Winchester, Virginia. She was born and raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

She moved to the Stephens City area in 1988. Her husband, John D. Edwards, whom she married on June 17, 1949 preceded her in death in 2016. She is survived by her two children, Karen Paul and her husband, Ronald, of Stephens City, Virginia, and David J. Edwards and his wife Cherie of Potomac, Maryland.

Betty was a proud “Grams” to her grandchildren, Kristen Vance and her husband, Jerry, and Bradley Paul and his wife Michelle. She also took on the loving role of “Nana” to her four great-grandchildren. Betty was a member of Stephens City United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 A. M. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Stephens City United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Schoeman officiating. Burial will follow the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Stephens City United Methodists Church, P O Box 428, Stephens City, VA 22655 or Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
