Obituary for Betty J. (Salpas) Lukas Betty J. (Salpas) Lukas,70, died Friday, December 7th, at Park Place in Grand Island. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14th at 12:30 pm, at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate.

A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to the service. Betty was born on September 25, 1948 to James and Molly (Michael) Salpas in Grand Island. She was raised and received her education in Shelton.

She was employed at Northeast Elementary School in Kearney, until health issues interfered. After, she enjoyed spending her time gardening and being with her grandchildren. Betty will be remembered for her love of her family, her spark, and her spunk.

Those that will forever cherish her memory are Her children, Lea Ann Hansen, Kim (Neil) Beecher; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren (and one on the way); brothers, George (Kim) Salpas, Chris Salpas; sisters, Mary Shriner, Marge Flansburg, Donna Thomas, Dorothy Morton, Vicky Huffman, and Ida Hehr. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrin Hansen; and siblings, Nick Salpas, Frannie Skinner, Josie Skinner, and Gus Salpas Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
