Betty Jean Beane Staley, 62, of Asheboro, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro. Burial will follow at Flag Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Born in Randolph County, NC, on January 5, 1957, Mrs. Staley was the daughter of the late Wade Isom Beane and Colleen Hazel Woodell Beane. She was employed at Sopona Manufacturing and had worked at Goodyear Tire. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Staley was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wade Staley, Sr. and stepson, Harry Wade Staley, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Lori Kirk, of Asheboro; sons, Jerry Beane and Brad Staley, both of Greensboro; sisters, Evelyn Thorn, Linda Hunt (Clarence “Junior”), Hazel Beane, Lisa Cagle (Jesse), Debbie Nelson, all of Asheboro; brothers, Gary Beane (Linda), Larry Beane, Sammy Beane, Eric Beane and Clayborn “Junior” Lamb, all of Asheboro; grandchildren, Blade Michael Kirk, Brileigh Nicole Kirk, Aaliyah Rose Pope; step grandchildren, Shane Staley and Austin Rich. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Ridge Funeral Home in Asheboro. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, P.O. Box 9, Asheboro, NC 27204.
