Betty R. Bish, 86, of Westminster, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Sinai Hospital. Born December 21, 1931 in Olney, she was the daughter of the late Mark J. and Margaret L. (Flohr) Ripley. She was the cherished wife of 63 years to Carroll F. Bish, whom she married on January 22, 1955.

Betty was a graduate of Westminster High School, class of 1949. She was employed at Baltimore Gas and Electric, where she worked for over 33 years until her retirement. She was a member of… Read More » Grace Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening, canning and loved her pets. Surviving in addition to her husband are special friends John and Kim Frock and their son Christopher and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Ripley and sister Charlotte R. Patterson.

The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd. , Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with her pastor, Rev.

Kevin Clementson. Interment will be in Krider’s Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster MD 2117 or to a charity of one’s choice.
