Marcia Faye Gorsuch, 67, of Westminster, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, surrounded by loved ones after a year-long battle with cancer. Born September 29, 1951 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Emerson Joy and Catherine Louise Raines-Joy. Marcia was a stay at home mom of 6 children.

She also worked at Baugher’s Restaurant and Orchard in Westminster and Thunderhead Bar & Grille in Taneytown. She enjoyed yard sales and growing her collections of cookie jars, unicorns, ladybugs and snowmen. She was an excellent baker and cook.

She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with all her children. Mom Mom loved playing with the grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports too. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

She is survived by children and spouses, Alana Moore-Yelton and husband Carl of Westminster; Anna Gorsuch-Duttera and husband Brian of Littlestown, PA; Robert Gorsuch and wife Crystal of Littlestown, PA; Amy Gorsuch and boyfriend Christopher Felker of Westminster and Amanda Gorsuch and boyfriend Kristofer Marshall of Atlanta, GA; sisters Catherine “Elaine” Hawkins-Beares and husband Thomas “Buz” Beares and Anna Joy-Hahn and husband Paul Hahn, Jr., and brother Thomas Joy, grandchildren Carrie, Zachary, Peyton, Justin, Megan, Carlee, Ashlynn, Jacob and grand cat Mufasa. She was predeceased by a daughter Peggy Sue Gorsuch. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Prayer services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow Meadow Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, MD 21157.
