G. Steven “Steve” Six, 66, of Taneytown, died suddenly on November 26, 2018 at his home. Born on October 25, 1952 in Gettysburg, Pa. , he was the son of the late George Albert Six, and Betty Sweeney Six.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Brenda Shipley Six. Steve graduated from Francis Scott Key High School in 1970. He liked fishing, ford trucks, old cars, and tractors.

He loved family gatherings, the outdoors, playing cards with friends, and driving his fuel truck for 48 years with companies FerrellGas and Carroll Motor Fuels. Steve’s pastime was taking care of his Koi fish pond, pets, yard work, watching football and going out to eat with his wife Brenda. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Shelley Jean Six of Taneytown, siblings Randy E. Six and wife Debbie of Littlestown, Jeffrey M. Six of Taneytown, and Kathy Six Clutter and husband Jim of Taneytown, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main St., Westminster, with Rev. John Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Deer Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to Deer Park United Methodist Church, 2205 Sykesville Road, Westminster, Md. 21157.
