Dorothy Lorraine “Dotty” Stottlemyer of Westminster departed this life on November 23, 2018 following a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alan R. Stottlemyer, her sister, Lorraine Johnson, and her aunt, Anne Wagner. Dorothy was a graduate of Adelphi University of New York with a Bachelors of Science Degree and worked for Planning Research Corporation in Washington, DC, for over twenty years as a computer analyst and programmer of business systems.

Outside of work she was an avid reader and traveler, and active in the life of her church. She was on the board of Carroll County Food Sunday for many years, and loved being present with organizations raising funds for them. Other interest included embroidery, photography and Geology.

A memorial service will be held at Westminster United Methodist Church in December, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made either to Westminster UMC, Carroll County Food Sunday or to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration. Memorial Service Date and Times will be announced soon.
