Obituary of BettyAnn Clarkson BettyAnn Clarkson, 87 years of Corning, NY passed away on Thursday November 1, 2018 at Guthrie Corning Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1931 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Leslie and the late Esther (Teachman) Barrett. She was a graduate of Corning Free Academy, class of 1948.

She married William Clarkson in 1989. He preceded her in death in 2009. BettyAnn worked as a waitress for the Corning Country Club for 25 years and later as a TV Hostess for Corning Hospital for 12 years before retiring.

She will be remembered for her love of gardening, reading, and the New York Yankees and Mets. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs – and adored her dog Chloe. She is survived by children: Thomas Heverly of Bloomington, IN, Jeffrey (Katie) Heverly of Corning, NY; son-in-law, John Spencer of Corning, NY; grandchildren: Kenzie (Jeffrey) Spaulding of Corning, NY, Chelsea (Steven) Gilbert of Corning, NY, Casey (Ben) Moskel of Rochester, NY, Jake Spencer of Corning, NY, Mariah Heverly of Indianapolis, IN; many great grandchildren and special friends.

In addition to her parents and husband William, BettyAnn was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Spencer; and husbands: James Quattrini and Thomas Heverly. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in BettyAnn’s name may be made to the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA, 2435 NY-352, Elmira, NY 14903.
