Obituary for Bill Charles Campbell Bill C. Campbell, 57, of Central City, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at UNMC in Omaha. Memorial services will be Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Doug McHargue and Rev.
Beth Ann Stone officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City. Military Honors will follow at the church following the Memorial Service.

soltwagnerfuneral.com. Bill was born on March 18, 1961 to Duane and Ellen (Jacobsen) Campbell in Central City, Nebraska. He was raised in the Central City area and graduated from Central City High School in 1979.
He then attended Kearney State College before joining the National Guard. He later enlisted in the Army and finally completed his military career in the United States Air Force. Bill married Tracy Cottrell on April 27, 1983 in Fremont, Nebraska.
To this union, three children were born; Kelly Anne, Eric, and Cassie. He then married Melanie Huber on August 8, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bill was very talented.
He was skilled at carpentry and drawing. He worked various jobs but found great passion in his job with Wegner Monument in Central City. He would do the etching for headstones.
He could draw anything. He even did the etching for his parent’s stone. Bill was an Eagle Scout at age fourteen.
He was a Youth Elder at the Presbyterian Church, Boy Scout Troop leader, and Youth 4-H Leader. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #6. Bill enjoyed bird watching, fishing, and photography.
He won an award at the State Fair for his photography. He was also a huge animal lover. He is survived by his wife- Melanie Campbell of Central City, NE; two daughters- Kelly Anne Campbell of Fremont, NE; and Cassie “Beans” and Art Pulido of Central City, NE; one son- Eric Campbell of Fremont, NE; two step children- Cortney and Dean Shurter of Ord, NE; and Zachary Cunningham of Abilene, TX; one sister- Karen Campbell and Roger Peden of United Kingdom; one brother- Rex Campbell and special friend- Jamie Howland of Central City, NE; four grandchildren- Madison Campbell, Simon Pulido, Matthew Pulido, and Emery Shurter.
