Brian J. Hockensmith, 52, of Wellsville, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 with his wife by his side at the York Hospital, York, PA. Born September 14, 1965 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of William J. and the late Joann L. (Jacoby) Hockensmith of New Oxford, PA. Brian was the loving husband of Jennifer E. (Deardorff) Hockensmith with whom he would have shared six years of marriage this September.

Brian was a 1983 graduate of Hanover High School. He worked as a Maintenance Director for Hanover Hall for twenty-six years. He also worked at the Hanover YMCA as a Building Supervisor for 17 years.

Brian was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA, and the Wellsville Fire Company. Brian enjoyed being outdoors, riding his RZR, spending time at the family cabin in Bedford, camping at Pine Grove Furnace with family, watching his niece and nephews play ball, volunteering at the fire company and spending time with his dogs, Jaeger and Kenai. In addition to his father, and his loving wife, Jennifer, Brian is survived by his brothers, John Feeser and his wife Janet of Sierra Vista, AZ and Michael E. Hockensmith and his wife Cheryl of New Oxford, PA; a sister, Cindy A. Hockensmith of Hanover, PA; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa Feeser of Albuquerque, NM, Daniel Feeser of Phoenix, AZ, Heather Hockensmith of Abbottstown, PA, Chad Hockensmith of Abbottstown, PA, Robert Shower of Hanover, PA, Steven Shower of Hanover, PA, Ellie Stiffler of Wellsville, PA, Colby Stiffler of Wellsville, PA, and Tanner Stiffler of Wellsville, PA Following cremation, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community Street, Wellsville, PA, with the Rev.

Bonnie J. Whittier officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Brian’s memory to the Wellsville Fire Company, 95 Community Street, Wellsville, PA 17365. Brian’s favorite song was Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On by Jimmy Buffett.
