Obituary of Brian Davis Brian Patrick “Smokey” Davis – “In a world where you can be anything, be kind”. Brian passed away peacefully with his family beside him on July 16, 2018 at Upstate Hospital due to sudden cardiac arrest. He was born on September 15, 1983.

Brian grew up in Syracuse, NY and graduated from Bishop Ludden Highschool in 2002. He attended OCC and most recently was going to Bryant and Stratton College. He was a licensed master barber at Nick’s and later the Hall of Fame Barbershop.

He coached the leprechaun league to share his talents with the kids. He was predeceased by his sisters; Mary and Elizabeth Evans. He is survived by his father; Christopher “Smokey” Davis, his mother and step father; Mimi and Randy Evans, his sister; Kate Davis, step brother and sister; Katy and John Evans, his maternal grandmothers; Patricia Dwyer and Margaret Evans, maternal aunt and uncle; Sheila (Rob) McConnell and Denny Dwyer, several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and lastly his nephew; Conor J. Clare, whom he absolutely adored.

Brian was the kindest person with the biggest heart you could ever meet, and his smile could light up a room. When you met him, he made a forever impression on you and you gained a fiercely loyal and lifelong friend. His passion were the Boston Red Sox, the Celtics and SU sports.

March Madness was his favorite time of the year along with fantasy football draft. To say we will miss him is not enough. To our son- Always remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you will ever know.

His funeral service will be held at 9:30am on Saturday July 21, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Church; 417 S. Orchard Rd. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4pm on Friday July 20th at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dewitt, NY.

In lieu of flowers, Brian would love donations to honor his life to be sent to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for children with pediatric cancer.
