Bryan Simerly, 50, of Bristol, VA passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Bristol, TN, the son of Gloria Jean Simerly of Bristol, TN and the late Robert “Bob” Simerly. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Michelle Simerly; his paternal grandparents, David “Dee” and Minnie Simerly; and his maternal grandparents, Ray B. and Genella King.

He was a life long resident of Bristol and was a Business Service Tech III for Century Link. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his mother, Bryan is survived by his wife, Jackie Chafin; his daughter, Megan Simerly; and his son, Austin Chafin.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA 24201. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Webb officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Mountain View Cemetery, Bristol, VA.
