Obituary for Carl Wyss Carl Otto Wyss, age 88, of Janesville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born April 11, 1930 to Otto and Helen (Rothlisberger) Wyss. Carl graduated from Monticello High School, Class of 1948.

He served his country in the US Air Force from 1948 to 1952, being a veteran of the Korean War. He started working at General Motors in 1954, retiring in 1993. Carl married Ione Klund, the mother of his children in 1957, and later married Catharine Millard Clark in 1980.

He was an avid Bible reader, a committed Cubs fan, and loved history. He is survived by his wife Cate, two sons: Brad Wyss of Janesville, and Eric (Vicki) Wyss of Converse, TX; daughter: Elizabeth Wyss of Janesville; and step-children: Jeffrey (Laura Hanthorn) Clark, Jill (Steve) Plenty, and Ryan (Amy Eckert) Clark, all of Janesville. Carl is further survived by his nine grandchildren: Michael, Jon and Alex Green, Justin and Jacey Clark, Hayley and Abby Hughes, Hattie Plenty, and Tiana Trappe; and his brother-in-law: Stan Millard.

He was preceded in death by his step-daughter: Robin Clark; and sister: Aline Schuerch. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Whitcomb – Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Benedict officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and again on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Highland Cemetery in Monticello, WI. A debt of gratitude to the Mercy Hospital staff for their compassionate care that was extended to all of us.
