Sidney J. Carlson, age 61, of Janesville passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin on August 22, 1956, the daughter of Darrell and Karen (Johnson) Fox. She married Larry Holmes in August of 1975 and later married David Carlson on August 20, 2002.

Sidney was an avid Packer fan and loved gardening and crafting. She especially loved her dogs Gizmo and Milo. Sidney is survived by her four children: Nate (Amy) Holmes of Janesville, Justin (Jen) Holmes of Janesville, Joshua (Kathy) Holmes of Janesville, and Mandy Heimann of Hartland, WI; 14 grandchildren: Logan, Riley, Mason, Cassandra, Jordan, Brianna, Caity, Hailee, Kristine, Brandon, Haiden, Kaiden, Kallie, and Kade; mother, Karen of Janesville; brothers, David Fox of Ft.

Wayne, IN and Jeffery (Delana) Fox of Janesville; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Carlson; father, Darrell and brother, James Fox. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., noon, on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Schneider Funeral Home & Crematory and again on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
