Carol Marie Premo, 67 Alanson resident Carol M. Premo, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, April 28 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. Carol was born November 16, 1950 in Saginaw to Howard and Sally (Robinson) Woodington. She grew up in Saginaw and was a graduate of Carlton High School.

She went on to earn an Associate Degree from Delta College and in 1971 moved north to Petoskey. For nearly 20 years Carol worked in the billing department of Northern Michigan Hospital. She also worked as a cashier for Meijer.

She was a very simple lady, with simple tastes. She was also blessed with a genuine, down to earth personality that endeared her to nearly everyone she met. Her faith was the keystone of her life; and at the time of her death she was volunteering her time with Keryx Ministries, which is an outreach program for correctional facilities across the state.

Since October 8, 2011 Carol has been married to her soulmate and best friend, Allen James Premo, Sr. and he survives. Carol is also survived by her loving sister Judy Robinson and her step-children Vincent (Penny) Cravero, Deana Bertrand, Jodi (Greg) Aymer, and Allen J. (Jessica) Premo II, and by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both her parents.
