Carolyn E. Bevans of Red Oak, Texas passed away on September 18, 2018 surrounded by her family. Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home, with the committal service to follow at Bells Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday night, September 20, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Driggers and Decker Family Funeral Home Carolyn was born on March 16, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James and Charlene Davis.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and friend. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping, and playing the penny slots with her husband, Dan. Carolyn never met a stranger, she could talk to anybody and about anything, she loved meeting new people.

Above all, she loved being with her family and friends. She put everybody’s needs before her own and took great care of the people in her life. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Davis.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Daniel D. Bevans; children, Mike Parnell and his wife Kathy, Lisa Sharp and her husband Gene Perry, Kim Bevans and her partner, Lynn Solowski and Kevin Bevans; 5 grandchildren, Brad Sharp, Ashleigh Godwin, Shelley Miller, Ryan Parnell and Joey Bevans; great- grandchildren, Hudson Godwin, Lola Parnell, Ethan Sharp, Liam Godwin, Ayla Parnell and Sydney Miller; and many other relatives and friends.
