Ronnie James passed away on October 22, 2018 in Palestine, Texas. Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lone Star Cowboy Church, 1011 E. Ovilla Road, Red Oak, Texas 75154. Ronnie was born on January 19, 1952 in Dallas, Texas to Dennis and Gertrude James.

Ronnie was a loyal and dedicated family man. For 45 years he was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Sherry. He loved spending time with all his family, especially his grandchildren.

His family meant the world to him and he always made sure they knew they were loved by him. Ronnie was a hard worker, whether it was at his job or in his yard, he would work from sun up until sun down to make sure his family was taken care of and provided for. In Ronnie’s free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR.

His favorite driver was number 48, Jimmie Johnson. When Jimmie had a good race Ronnie would have a big smile on his face. Ronnie’s loving presence and sweet nature will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Sherry James; daughters, Christa Robbins, Alissa Wall and Ronni Lynn Smith; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grand child; brothers, Dennis James Jr., Kenny Ford and Jerry Don Gebb; sisters, Mary Lynn Esner, Diana Sue James and Theresa Ford; and many other relatives and friends.
