Charleen Joy Voisen of Irving, Texas July 13, 1929 – January 5, 2019 Charleen Joy Voisen, 89, a resident of Irving for over 60 years, died at her home on Saturday, January 5, 2019. She was born on July 13, 1929 in Durant, Oklahoma. Charleen taught third grade in the Irving ISD at T. J. Lee Elementary School for over 20 years.

One of the highlights of her teaching was to help direct the third grade students in programs presented in the spring of the school year. She was a member of Plymouth Park United Methodist Church. Charleen was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Louis Clifford Voisen, whom she married May 26, 1956 in Caddo, Oklahoma.

He died August 23, 1998; son Cliff, who died July 5, 1997, and twin sister Christine Slack of Oklahoma who died December 17, 2016. Survivors include her sons, Michael Scott Voisen of Florida and Jon Mark Voisen of Irving; sister Ruth Park of Kansas as well as other extended members of her family. Visitation 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22 at Donnelly’s Colonial Funeral Home.

Funeral will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday 01/23/19 at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, 1615 W. Airport Fwy. , Irving, TX 75061.
