Obituary for Roy Dean Roberts Roy Dean Roberts, age 76 died on Friday, January 18, 2019. Roy was born on October 19, 1942 to Earnest Roy Roberts and Ola M. Jenkins. Roy was a loving father.

He enjoyed being outdoors playing golf, fishing or hunting. He found pleasure in working with his hands, especially with clocks. It would be no surprise then that he was a member of both the local clock working and the golfing associations.

With as much enjoyment he found in these areas, with out a doubt spending time with his family and friends was where he found the most joy. Roy will forever be missed, but he has been happily reunited with his wife Sylvia Joe Roerts, daughter Deana Marie Roberts, parents Earnest and Ola Roberts, as well as brothers Morris, Charles and J.D. Roberts. Left to cherish his memory are his son Mark Stephen Roberts, precious dog Roxie, numerous extended family and loving friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd. , Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held in Hooks (Quitman), Texas at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma foundation. You may leave the family a note of condolence or make a donation by visiting our website at www.
