Obituary for Mr. Charles C. Cromp Jr. After a short term of illness at the UVM Medical Center in Vermont, it is with deep sorrow that the family of Charles C. Cromp, Jr., “Little Charlie”, announce his unexpected passing. He was a patient since June 1, 2018. Born in Malone on Sept.

21, 1957, he was the son of Charles and Millicent (LaFountain) Cromp. He was married to Patricia Wright on Sept. 18, 1987.

She survives. Also surviving besides his dad are a brother, Daniel Cromp of Bellmont; three sisters, Sandra and Donald Williams of North Bangor, Edie Cromp and her companion, Steve DuBois of Bellmont, and Sylvia and John Willett of Malone; a sister-in-law, Julie Wares of Malone; many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother in 2015 and a brother-in-law in 2005.

Charles worked side by side with his dad and brother on the family farm until 2007 when they retired. He also worked with his dad as a woodsman cutting pulp for mills in Plattsburgh and Cornwall. He enjoyed listening to music and was an avid wrestling fan.

He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoyed and liked classic cars and trucks. Charles will be sadly missed by his two cats and family.

Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 20 from 1 to 3 p.m. A prayer service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Brian Dwyer officiating.
