Obituary for Clara Jo (Henley) Fort SHELBYVILLE – Clara Jo (Henley) Fort, age 75, of Shelbyville, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Ashford Place in Shelbyville. She was born on April 13, 1943 in Indianapolis as the daughter of Clarence and Violet M. (Gardener) Henley. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1961.

Clara married David R. Fort on March 28, 1965 in Carthage. She was a homemaker and also worked as a secretary when not taking care of her family. Clara was a member of Morristown Christian Church and Eastern Star Chapter #316.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Clara is survived by her three daughters, Kelli Jo (Dave) Marchello of Greenfield, Karyn K. (Bill) Bollinger of South Bend, and Andrea D. Brandow of Greenwood; brothers, Rick (Cindy) Henley of Greenfield and Charles (Sherry) Henley of Alaska; sisters, Suzanne McNaab of Alaska and Billie Jean (Don) Dalrymple of Arizona; six grandchildren, Kelsi, Courtney, Elizabeth, Korey, Erik, and Adam; and a life-long friend, Mardell (Marlin) Wilson of Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Patti Lynn Fort; and brother, Larry Bramel.

A private service will take place at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www.
