Obituary for Sue Carol (Holden) Neylon GREENFIELD – Sue Carol Neylon, 81, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, June 6, at the home of her daughter Terri, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 13, 1936, to her parents Paul and Helen (Shaw) Holden, grew up in Spring Lake, and graduated from New Palestine High School in 1956. Sue worked as an X-Ray technician at Hancock County Hospital before raising her family and then returned to work in the radiology department afterwards.

While an X-Ray tech, she met a handsome laboratory technician by the name of Thomas Neylon from Painesville, Ohio. They would later spend 56 happy years together as husband and wife. While in high school, Sue enjoyed participating in theater.

She also became an avid reader and a big fan of the Pacers and Cincinnati Reds. In addition, she enjoyed sewing, arts & crafts, square dancing with Tom, and especially watching her children & grandchildren play sports and participate in other activities. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Tom and Sue were members of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield and had a large family. Sue is survived by six children: Cathy Stinson, Terri Messersmith (Jim), Jona Bishop (Frank), Keith Neylon, Bret Neylon (Tracie), and Melanie Kassen (Steve). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, not to mention numerous grandkitties and granddoggies.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN, 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 2:00 p.m., followed by Sue being laid to rest beside her late, beloved husband Tom at Philadelphia Church Cemetery on US 40.
