Clara Sue King, August 03, 1946 — July 13, 2018

Obituary for Clara Sue King Clara Sue King, 71, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2018 at the Fulton Center in Gloversville, NY. She was born in Schenectady, NY to Thomas and Rozella King on August 3rd, 1946. The family relocated to Horseheads, NY in her early years.

Clara graduated from Horseheads High School in 1965 and was employed, locally, as a clerical worker for 2 years. Clara and her parents moved to Hope, NY in 1967 where they resided together for over 40 years. During her life, Clara also worked as a Data Collector for the Census Bureau,Town of Hope Historian, and Hamilton County Board of Elections.

Clara was a child care provider to many area families. She maintained these loving relationships throughout the years. Clara devoted many hours as a volunteer member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Town of Hope Fire Department.

She also enjoyed spending many hours researching family genealogy. Clara was involved in the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network and the TOPS Organization. Calling hours will be held from 11am-1pm on Wednesday, July 18 at Northville Funeral Home in Northville, NY with funeral services immediately following.

Burial will follow at the Willard Cemetery, Town of Hope. . Clara loved her country and community.

Clara will always be remembered for her warm smile, kindness to others, and pureness of heart.
