Obituary for Clarence Barton Clarence Junior Barton, age 67, the John Sims Road section of Honaker, Virginia passed away Friday (July 20, 2018) at Hummingbird Retirement Villa in Lebanon, Virginia. Born April 22, 1951 in Stevenson, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Johnny and Cynthia Hess Barton. A lifelong resident of the area, he had been employed as a coal miner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of forty-six years, Ruby Mae Barton; one son, David Junior Barton; son-in-law, James Steve Boyd; grandson, Brad Joseph Dye and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two sons, Roger and Angie Barton of Pounding Mill, Virginia and Jason and Therese Barton of Finney, Virginia; one daughter, Rhonda Boyd of Buchanan County, Virginia; two sisters, Hazel Testerman and Louise Hess; one brother, Roy Barton; five grandchildren, Dalton Barton, Aaron Barton, Cynthia Barton, Kelli Altizer and Maddie Hunt; four great-grandchildren, Ava Barton, Bentley Dales, Logan Altizer and John Kenneth Lawson; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Denver Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Roland Cook, Dalton Barton, Keith Hunt, Aaron Barton, Jacob Hess and Sam Owens.
