Clayton R. Oxley February 13, 1938 – March 11, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Word has been received on the death of Clayton R. Oxley of Snyder, Oklahoma. Mr. Oxley passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 in Altus, Oklahoma. No services are scheduled at this time.

Mr. Oxley will be available for viewing at Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder starting Wednesday, March 13, 2019 until Friday evening, March 15, 2019. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder. Clayton Russell Oxley, 81, Snyder was born February 13, 1938 in Herington, Kansas to Eugene R. and Marie Althea (Nicolet) Oxley.

He graduated from high school in Lawton and in the 1970’s he moved to Traverse City, Michigan. He worked for Sara Lee Bakery for 33 years before retiring and moving back to Oklahoma in 2004. Clayton enjoyed rodeos that often came thru Lawton and Altus.

He enjoyed riding horses when he could, and in his earlier days was a bull rider. He enjoyed watching PBR on television. Living in Snyder, Clayton served on the city council, volunteered his time at the Senior Citizens Center and was an avid Snyder Cyclones sports fan, attending all the home games and traveling to most of the away games.

Survivors include his wife Sharon of Traverse City, Michigan, two children, Renee Marie Oxley and Allen Keith Oxley, his brothers, Jerry Oxley and wife Earlene of Mountain Park, Ray Oxley of Mountain Park, Michael Oxley and Wendy Fowler of Traverse City, Michigan, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
