Clellon “Kelly” Shewmaker, 88, of Boston, passed away Tuesday May 22, 2018 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born June 17, 1929 in Springfield, retired from South Central Bell, a Navy and National Guard Veteran, 30 year volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, and a member of Telephone Pioneers, and Youngers Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Clara Shewmaker; granddaughter, Lisa; three brothers, Marshall, Manuel, and Elwood Shewmaker; and two sisters, Jewell Settles, and Nina Hendren.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Shewmaker of Boston; three children, Gary Shewmaker of Pineville, Linda McNally of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Kelly Shewmaker of Dayton, Ohio; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday May 26, 2018 at Barlow Funeral Home, with burial in Willisburg Cemetery. Dr. Tim Harris will officiate.

Visitation will be Noon to 2 pm Saturday May 26 at Barlow Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to Youngers Creek Baptist Church or donor’s favorite charity.
