West Gardiner – Clifford Joseph Levesque, age 85, died on June 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. Clifford is survived by his wife, Cecile of West Gardiner; his son Paul, his son Gary (ho hon), his daughter Jane (Carl), his daughter Debra, his son Leo (Jeannine), his daughter in law Kathy, his 11 grandchildren, his 22 great grandchildren and his 7 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son David, his mother Marty and his father Edward.

Clifford was born on June 7, 1933 in St David, me to parents Edward and Marty Levesque. After separating from the US Army in 1953 he married his wife of 64 years, Cecile Couturier and the couple had 6 children together. He had an infinite amount of love for his family, and immense pride in everything he did.

What he enjoyed most was being on his farm and showing off his animals to anybody that would come to visit. He had a grumpy outer shell with a marshmallow for a heart. He will live on in the hearts of those who love him.

A Memorial service with military honors is scheduled at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue Gardiner, Me 04345 on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 1 pm with a celebration of life to follow at Otto’s on the River at 287 Water Street Augusta, Me 04330. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations are made in loving memory of Clifford Levesque to Sgt Travis Mills foundation at www. travismills.org/donate/ or veterans memorial cemetery association at mevetscemetary.org.
