Corey A Wellman, 37, of Quincy, formerly of Mascoutah, IL. , died at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his home. Born February 25, 1981, in Independence, Iowa, Corey was a son of Brad and Deborah J Hettinger Wellman.

Corey was employed as a heating and air technician. Since moving to Quincy, Corey was an active member of The Crossing 929 and enjoyed volunteering with various church activities. Survivors include his parents, Brad and Debbie Wellman; his children, Kyleigh, Julian, Jordan, and Jared Wellman; his paternal grandparents, David and Sally Wellman; his sister, Melissa Kunze and her husband Kevin; and their children, Eric, Jade, Kruz, and Isaac; his fiance’, Michela Victor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Lester and Ruth Hettinger; his maternal great grandmother, Johanna Streitmatter; and his paternal great grandfather, Julius Wellman. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
