Craig Victor Shore completed his earthly journey on July 4th, 2018. Craig was born in Newton, MA on November 24, 1950 to David and Evelyn. He graduated from Brookline High in Brookline, MA in 1969.

He married Cheryl Es on January 23, 2002, and they resided in Sanford, North Carolina. Always passionate about helping others, he continued his service as a civilian, and became the Program Coordinator of the Cumberland County Veterans Treatment Court, a diversion program for military men and women who had committed a crime related to something that happened during their time of service.

He described the court as walking a fine line between jurisprudence and treatment, advocacy and accountability. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Craig was a gifted athlete and published poet, a wordsmith extraordinaire who made the reader see the extraordinary in the mundane, the beauty in the thunderstorm, and the love nestled in the smallest of gestures. Craig is survived by: wife Cheryl; brother Mussie (Cynthia) of Carlisle, MA; sister Leslie (Michelle) of St Paul; children David, Sarah, Tony, and Joey; Christopher and James Zitterkopf, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:00AM on July 20 at Miller-Boles Funeral Home, 1150 Fire Tower Rd, Sanford, NC 27330 Phone: (919) 775-3434 Memorials in lieu of flowers are preferred Lone Survivor Foundation, which provides therapeutic retreats for service members and their families affected by Post-Traumatic Stress, mild Traumatic Brain Injury, Chronic Pain, and Military Sexual Trauma.
