Obituary for Ms. Cynthia Anne Scales Cynthia was born April 22, 1947 in Fort Pierce, Florida where she graduated from Lincoln Park High School. She attended Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida. She has been a resident of Orlando, Florida since 1982.

Her interests included cooking, entertaining, fashion and interior design. However, he true passion was serving the Lord. She was a dedicated employee of UCF and coordinated the Zora Neale Hurston Festival for P.E.C.

She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members upon her retirement. Cynthia passed away peacefully from this life on the afternoon of June 14, 2018 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Alfred Hart (father) and Maeceola Hart (mother); Sisters: Mary Barber and Carolyn Hart. She leaves to cherish her memories… Sons: Rocardo Scales (Mesha) of Blountstown, Florida and Billy Scales of Orlando, Florida; Daughters: Heather Hoover (Randy) of Winter Springs, Florida, and Shannon Bennett (Jesse) of Apopka, Florida; Brother: Alfred Hart, Jr., North Carolina; Sister: Patsy Jackson of Columbia, SC; Four Grandchildren; Two Great Grandchildren; Seven Nephews, Three Nieces, a host of cousins, family and friends.
