Obituary for Mr. Irving Malcome Hatcher Irving Malcome Hatcher was born June 2, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Alice Murphy and the late George Lee Hatcher. Irving grew up in Philadelphia where he attended and graduated from Germantown High School. After completing high school, during the height of the Vietnam War, Irving enlisted in the United States Navy, where he received a honorable discharge.

Upon returning home from the Navy, Irving worked as an exceptional painter and carpentry assistant for many years. Irving came to accept Jesus Christ at a young age through the influence of his grandmother. In 2006, Irving relocated to Orlando, Florida to be closer to his family where he attended and ministered at New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ.

Irving was a faithful and dedicated member who rarely missed a service. The Lord in His infinite wisdom deemed it timely on July 6, 2018, to call our beloved Irving home to receive his crown of Glory. Leaving to Honor Irving’s Dynamic Memory are: mother, Alice MurphyTaylor; stepfather, Hugh Randy Taylor, both of Orlando, Florida; two sisters: Laura Vaughn of Orlando, Florida and Pamela Rush (Roland) of Orlando, Florida; two brothers: George Hatcher (Glenda) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and John Murphy (Shontell) of Orlando, Florida; nieces: Danielle ShearerPorter of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Krishawna Shearer Perkins (Laveres) of Orlando, Florida, Crystal Alfriend (Marqui) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Alexis Murphy, Breahna Murphy, Danyell Hill, all of Orlando, Florida; greatnephews: Malachi Rawlings and Daniel Porter; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
