Cynthia Ingram Hampton, age 59, of 2760 Old Hwy 29, Pelham, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 1, 2019, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hampton was born on May 24, 1959, in Reidsville, NC, a daughter of the late, Reverend Clyde Ingram and Mary Auterback Ingram. She lived most of her life in Pelham, NC where she was a homemaker, prior to that she was self-employed as a store manager.

Mrs. Hampton was married to Frank Hampton who survives of the residence and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano and actively played for the church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Christin Still and husband David, Stephanie Atkinson and husband Tommy, Ashley Hampton and Katie Hampton, all of Pelham, NC; grandchildren, Victoria Gilliam, Danika Hampton, Colton Still, Caleb Atkinson and Alexis Atkinson; three sisters, Bobbie Cassell of Brosville, VA, Debbie Ingram of Pelham, NC, and Janet Dodd of Dry Fork, VA; and by many nieces nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her baby girl, Hampton and a sister, Gloria Cooper. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend Gilmore Hundley officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the residence.
