Daisy Jean (Big Brown Girl Dog) Whitaker, age 4, crossed over the rainbow bridge on Monday January 28, 2019. Daisy was born on January 21, 2015. For just a short 4 years on this earth, Daisy left a huge impression in everyone’s heart who ever met her.

Even people who are not “dog people”, she never gave up on winning people’s hearts over and made them like her. Every visitor that ever came to the house was there to see her, so she thought. She usually spent her days waiting for her humans to return from work and school and would be right there at the door or gates to greet them, wagging her tail so cheerfully that her entire body shook, making the worst of days so much brighter.

She was named Daisy after the BB gun because her dad had such high hopes of teaching her to shed hunt and do the outdoor things that labs do – Daisy, however, had other plans, those plans did not include being near water or the woods, in fact, she was scared of water. Daisy loved to go bye-bye in the car and go for walks, and if the words “walk”, “car”, or “bye-bye” was mentioned she would not let you forget and would go to where the leash hung and drove you crazy until you gave in and took her for a walk or car ride. She loved to let her head hang out and her ears flap in the wind while riding in the care.

Daisy loved any human food imaginable, especially cheese, pizza crust, bones off any steak or ribs, and deer jerky, especially deer jerky. When her family brought her home, she drove her fur sisters who were older but eventually, in good old Daisy fashion, she also won their hearts over. Daisy was told she was a lab dog, she must’ve misunderstood and thought they said “lap” dog because every night her big 106-pound body was sitting with one of her humans right on their lap.

Daisy is survived by her Daddy (Josh), Mommy (Becky), and human brothers Dakota and Zack. She is preceded in death by her fur sisters, Siara and Holly. Daisy, you have left our lives, but you will never leave our hearts.

“I know that you can’t see me, But trust me I’m right here, Although I’m up in Heaven, My love for you stays near”. Please leave a special memory of Daisy for her family on her tribute wall.
