He was born on March 25, 1960 in Alamance County to the late J.C. Herbin and the late Louise Tate Herbin. He loved his family, his children and his grandchildren.

He also enjoyed westerns. Left to cherish his memory are three children: Ashlan Danielle Herbin “Dolly” of Burlington, David Leonta’e Herbin of Graham and Sherita Yvette Graves of Haw River; special companion: Pamela Van Hook of Graham; six grandchildren, three sisters: Pattie T. Currie of Burlington, Cynthia Denise Haith “Necie” of Columbia SC and Karen Reneé Herbin of Haw River; five aunts: Peggy Murdock, Shirley Tate, Bessie Boswell, Faye Tate and Margie Snell; one uncle: Lee E. Tate; one great aunt: Elsie Stamps and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, family and friends.
