Daniel’s Obituary Daniel Ray Bontrager, age 54, of Bourbon, died unexpectedly of natural causes on his way home from Nappanee, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 12:50 pm. He was born April 29, 1964 in Sturgis, MI to Samuel W. and Bessie D. (Yoder) Bontrager. Mr. Bontrager moved to Indiana 16 years ago from Hicksville, OH.

On May 4, 1994, he married Mary Kathryn Kuhns in Topeka. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and had worked at Ayr Cabinets in Nappanee. Survivng is his wife, Mary Kathryn; children, Nathan (Mary Kay) Bontrager, Marion (special friend, Regina Kuhns) Bontrager, both of Nappanee, Ruth (special friend, DeWayne Miller), Jonathan, Joseph, Jeremiah, Luke, Steve, Dorothy, Marilyn, Merle Bontrager, all at home; 1 grandson, Jeffery Bontrager; parents, Samuel & Bessie Bontrager, Nappanee; brothers, his twin, Samuel (Martha) Bontrager, Kaleva, MI, Duane (Ruth) Bontrager, Edwin (Martha) Bontrager, both of Milford, William (Sharon) Bontrager, Nappanee; and sister, Mary Fern Bontrager, Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, Joanna Bontrager. Family and friends may call after 4 pm, Sunday, March 24, 2019 and all day, Monday, March 25th at the family home (10654 N 1100 W, Bourbon). Funeral services will begin at 9:30 am, Tuesday, March 26th at the Matthew Schmucker residence (5311 E. County Line Rd.

, Bremen). Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will be in Cedar Road Cemetery. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
