David A. Pierce May 11, 1954 – January 29, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card David A. Pierce, 64, of Marion St., Corry, Pa. , died Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his home. He was born May 11, 1954 in Corry, Pa.

, a son of the late Robert and Dorothy McJunkin Pierce. Dave was raised and educated in Corry and graduated from Corry High School in 1972. In September of 1972, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy, serving on the USS Barney and was stationed in San Diego, Ca.

, and Norfolk, Va. He was honorably discharged in 1978. Dave then returned to Corry and went to North American Trucking School in Buffalo, N.Y.

He had worked for various companies in the area including Crosscut Trucking, Corry Manufacturing, Caflisch and Hardingers. Dave enjoyed raising horses and pigs, going to Cleveland Indians baseball games and was an avid Browns fan. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Rybacki, a brother, Bruce Pierce and a nephew, Nathaniel Miles.

Dave is survived by a son, Matthew C. Pierce of Clymer, N.Y.; two sisters, Debbie Messenger and her husband Kevin and Joan Miles, all of Corry, Pa. ; and a brother, Mark Pierce and his wife Alice of Corry, Pa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation held. Services will be held privately by the family. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
