Obituary for David J. Parker RICHMOND, Ind. – David J. Parker, age 67, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Reid Health. Born January 7, 1951, in Richmond, Indiana, to James and Sylvia Ponder Parker, David lived in this community most of his life.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. David formerly lived in Arizona and Oregon for eight years doing maintenance work, before moving back to Richmond to own and operate his own maintenance business. He was passionate about deer hunting, loved fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his daughters, Angela (Kevin) King of Indiana and Kimberly (Ronnie) Brake of Kentucky; son, David (Cristina) Parker of Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Glenna (Dennis) Wagner of California; brothers, Eddie (Edith) Parker, Charles (Nancy) Parker, and Mike (Janie) Parker, all of Richmond; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Wyatt; and brothers, Leslie and Woodrow Parker. Visitation for David J. Parker will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny L. Shepherd Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
