Dennis Ray Forinash July 21, 1942 – October 28, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Dennis Ray Forinash, 76, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH. He was born July 21, 1942 in Ireland, WV, a son of the late Emory and Rada Forinash. Dennis is survived by one son, Dennis Richard Forinash; three daughters: Tammy Herzog, Rada Meacham, and Cassandra Forinash; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Delmar “Jack” Forinash; three sisters: Mabel Thompson, Janice “Shorty” Kirsch, and Janet “Squeaky” Ruland; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and two fur babies: Bronx and Milo.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters. The hills and creeks of West Virginia were like friends to Dennis as a young man and that friendship fostered a life-long love of the outdoors. In earlier years he could be found trekking the mountains in Wellsboro PA in search of a cunning black bear.

Also an avid fisherman, Dennis enjoyed sitting on the banks of French Creek or Lake Erie. Even though he lived most of his life in the Albion, PA area, his love of Ireland, WV often drew him back to his birthplace and ancestral homestead where he enjoyed spending time with family. Although a quiet man, Dennis often expressed his love for his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was blessed to have been surrounded by his family.

Though we all will greatly miss him, we smile to think that he has finally met that black bear and brought to shore the catch of his dreams. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Clutter Funeral Home-Alkire Chapel located at 190 Wildcat Rd. in Ireland on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dwayne Brown officiating.
