Obituary for Ms. Diane Frances Viale Diane Frances Viale, 58, of Dallax, TX, passed away on March 14, 2018. Born on February 2, 1960, in Woburn, MA, Diane was the cherished daughter of Marilyn and Craig Viale of Pittsfield. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1978 and Duke University with a BSN in 1983.

She was employed at Duke hospital for a few years as a cardiac care nurse before relocating to Dallas, TX, where she worked in several hospitals in that area. She ended her career in 2017 as a nurse consultant at the Berry Law Firm in Dallas. Survivors besides her parents include daughter Kiya and son Gus of Dallas, two sisters Kim Peterson of Byfield, MA and Lisa Viale or Boston, MA and several nieces and nephews.

She will also be missed by good friends Cheryl Harrington of Phoenix, AZ and Sandra Bishop of The Colony, TX. She was predeceased by her brother Mark C. Viale who died in 2013. Diane most loved spending time with her children, whether cheering them on in sports, encouraging and guiding them or just being their mom.

Diane and her children were also very active members of her church in the Colony, TX. A funeral service was held in Dallas on Saturday, March 17. A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at St. Charles Church in Pittsfield on April 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. A reception for her friends and family will follow at Berkshire Hill Country Club.
